Ruby Hoy has contributed to Red Cedar Review, Hiram Poetry Review, Coyote’s Journal, and Split Rock Review, among others. She won poetry prizes from the Milwaukee Irish Festival, Irish Books Arts and Music Conference, and was a finalist for the Richard Snyder Memorial Publication Prize. In 2017, LUMINOUS, her first book of poetry was published. Born in northern Michigan, the Great Lakes will always be the landscape of her heart. Ruby now lives between the Blue Ridge and the Allegheny mountains, where she works for Irish traditional music and musicians. Meanwhile, she and her old friend, Coyote, are working on her next book.
