Brief Bio

Ruby Hoy has contributed to Red Cedar Review, Hiram Poetry Review, Coyote’s Journal, and Split Rock Review, among others. She won poetry prizes from the Milwaukee Irish Festival, Irish Books Arts and Music Conference, and was a finalist for the Richard Snyder Memorial Publication Prize. In 2017, LUMINOUS, her first book of poetry was published.  Born in northern Michigan, the Great Lakes will always be the landscape of her heart. Ruby now lives between the Blue Ridge and the Allegheny mountains, where she works promoting Irish traditional music and musicians in the US, Canada, and Europe.  She is currently working on two books, one of them will feature Coyote exclusively.
