Ruby Hoy has published in Red Cedar Review, Hiram Poetry Review, Coyote’s Journal, and Split Rock Review, among others. She won poetry prizes from the Milwaukee Irish Festival, Irish Books Arts and Music Conference, and was a finalist for the Richard Snyder Memorial Publication Prize. In 2017, LUMINOUS, her first book of poetry was published. Born in northern Michigan, the Great Lakes will always be the landscape of her heart. Ruby now lives between the Blue Ridge and the Allegheny mountains, where she promotes and manages Irish traditional music and musicians. This work has much in common with herding cats. Meanwhile, she and her old friend, Coyote, are working on her next book.
